Last gathering of the year – Eucharist & potluck

The community had it’s last gathering of 2012 on Dec. 23. Earlier in the day several community members attended the Idle No More rally at the Vancouver Art Gallery – for more info on Idle No More see links here: http://vancouvercatholicworker.org/ – which added to the solemn and sacred atmosphere in anticipation of Christmas.

Everyone who came stayed to share food and friendship. As always, we’ve posted Vikki’s sermon on the Sermons page so feel free to reflect with us in solidarity.

Dec. 12, 2012 Our first community Feast Day celebration

December 12 is the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe and we celebrated it as a community for the first time at Samaritan House (Vancouver Catholic Worker house) with lighting candles at the Guadalupe statue, eucharist and a potluck. It was a small but beautiful and diverse gathering filled with generosity and good spirit.
